Every ranking you have ever read was bought. This one prints the price.

Each category here is a board. Products sit on it in order of how much they have paid, highest first, with the figure printed next to the name. $1 puts a product on a board at whatever rank that total earns. Taking the top spot costs the current leader’s total plus at least $1. Paying again adds to a total rather than replacing it, so the board is a running tally rather than an auction that ends.

Everything that follows from that is on the surface of the page. The amount is public. The price to pass someone is public. So is the fact that being passed refunds nothing, which is the mechanic the whole thing runs on and the one a normal directory would bury.

There is also a free way on: fill in a form, put our badge on your own site, and the listing goes live once we can see the badge there. A free listing never outranks a paid one and never gets a link. The rules page sets out exactly what that costs and what it buys.

Almost every “best tools for X” page is already paid. Some of it is an affiliate link, some of it is a sponsorship the reader never sees named, some of it is a shortlist assembled by whoever answered the email. The money is there in nearly all of it. What is missing is the number.

So this site removes the part that was doing the lying. It does not claim to have tested anything, because it has not. It does not claim to know which product is better, because it does not. It says one thing and it can prove it: this product paid the most, here is how much, here is what it costs to take the position off them.

That is a smaller claim than a review site makes and it is the only one that survives being checked. A ranking you cannot verify and a ranking you can verify are not two grades of the same thing. Only one of them is information.

It follows that we would be destroying the product if we ever put a thumb on it. A discount for a friend, a category we quietly kept for ourselves, a listing left at the top because we liked it: any of those turns the number into a decoration. Our own listings pay the same prices and can be passed by anyone, for the same reason.

It is not a review site. Nothing here is an endorsement, a recommendation or an assessment of quality. We do not test the products, we do not use most of them, and we do not know whether they work. Treat a listing the way you would treat a billboard, because a billboard is exactly what it is.

It is not an SEO product. A paid listing carries an ordinary followed link, which you can see in your own tools, and the free badge carries rel="sponsored". We are not selling search ranking and you should not buy a badge from anybody who says they are.

It is not a subscription, and there is no account. You pay once for a position and the position stays bought until somebody outspends you. Nothing renews behind your back and there is nothing to log into.

It is not neutral about who it lists. Illegal products, adult content, gambling, crypto casinos and anything impersonating a company it does not represent come off the board, paid or not, and without a refund. Money buys a position on this site. It does not buy the right to keep one.

One person, building and running it in the open. That is worth stating plainly rather than hiding behind a plural, because it sets your expectations correctly about how fast a reply arrives and who is on the other end of it: the same person who wrote the code you are looking at.

It also means the honesty on this site is cheap to maintain and expensive to break. There is no sales team with a quota that a “featured” slot would help hit, and no investor to explain a flat month to. The only asset here is that the number next to a name is true.

If you want to check any of that rather than take it on faith: the rules page states every commitment in plain words, the money page shows what has actually been paid, and privacy describes what the code does with your data rather than what a company would be permitted to do with it.
